VSS Monitoring V 2.16 X.C-NF-AF - 10/100/1000/10G 2x16 Distributed Filter Tap
The V 2.16 Distributed Filter Tap allows Tapping, Aggregation, and Filtering of networks ranging from 10 Mbps to 10 GigE using any of its 18 ports for security and performance. Two XFP 10 Gigabit ports are available for input or output configuration. Each of its 16 dedicated copper UTP 10/100/1000 or 16 Fiber Gigabit ports are available for inline network traffic, SPAN traffic, or output from any of the other ports on the device. Each of the 18 ports is independently controlled and flexible, allowing the user to forward any group of network ports to any monitoring device. The V 2.16 offers exceptional value for corporations who have combinations of 1 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit networks. All ports are configurable as SPAN inputs or monitor outputs. XFP ports on inline builds are also I/O configurable.
This device enables local management via a serial console and remote management via Telnet, HTTP, and SNMP. A filter option enables screening of the monitoring traffic to ensure zero packet-loss during aggregation as well as increased input capacity. Filtering also allows traffic to be distinguished according to source and destination MAC/IP address as well as by specific protocols, such as HTTP, VoIP, etc. SNMP traps enable user notification of port status, user login, and management configuration changes. A custom filter offset allows monitoring devices targeted at specific protocols to view tunneled traffic, e.g. GTP tunnels, to view only the traffic of interest.
Redundant power supplies allow seamless transitions between power systems and maximize uptime. All VSS managed devices support field firmware updates for additional features and performance enhancements.
