Fiber Optic Breakout TAPs provide a safe and simple way to access live network traffic. In a full-duplex network link they safely copy the live traffic, separate it into RX and TX streams, and provide you with two monitoring ports, one for each direction of traffic. This ensures a full and complete copy of the traffic without risk of packet loss.

The integrity of your live network is paramount. That’s why our TAPs feature Grade-A fiber optics throughout and precision fusion splicing for exceptionally low insertion loss.

Fiber Optic Breakout TAPs are available in many different varieties. For the established data center, the enterprise CriticalTAP Fiber Optic Breakout TAP is ideal. If you need more flexibility and high density, Network Critical’s new SlimLine TAP is ideal. The SlimLine TAPs can be used individually or up to 16 can be rack-mounted in a 1U high space.

Passive Monitoring - Protects the live network from receiving traffic back through uni-directional monitoring ports. Network tools can be deployed in "Stealth Mode".
 
Breakout TAP - Breaks out full-duplex traffic into two separate streams (Rx & Tx).
 
Fail-secure Protection - No point of failure for Fiber Optic link. All-Optical data path requires no power for operation.
 

 
High Port Density - Up to 16 individual taps in one convenient 1U location.
 

 
Modular Design - Single or Dual TAP modules can be added or removed as necessary.
