Net Optics In-line Link Aggregator extends the reach of monitoring tools to support multiple network links. The Link Aggregator combines all the traffic from up to four GigaBit Fiber network links into (4) SFP transceiver monitoring ports.

Installing a monitoring device on multiple network links is often time consuming and expensive. Restricted by tight budgets, security managers must make compromises that leave portions of the network exposed to attacks. Net Optics' In-line Link Aggregator addresses this challenge by increasing the number of links covered by monitoring devices already installed. The small form-factor pluggable (SFP) monitor port connectors increase monitoring options by allowing either GigaBit copper or fiber based deployments.

No Packets Left Behind

The In-line Link Aggregator buffers and scans incoming traffic from the network links on a first-in-first-out basis. Scan rate is optimized to ensure that no packets are dropped as long as the sum of data rates on the network ports does not exceed 1 GB.

SFP Flexibility
Net Optics Link Aggregator with SFP Monitor Ports provides connectivity to network links for monitoring devices with dissimilar interface cards. The SFP Monitor Ports allow the Link Aggregator to be field upgraded or reconfigured for increased flexibility. The Link Aggregator with SFP Monitor Ports requires the purchase of one or two SFP conversion kits.

Reliability

For additional reliability, the Link Aggregator features redundant power supplies. Power LEDs on the front of the Tap indicate the current power source. All network pairs feature fail-open technology to ensure the transparent flow of traffic in the event of power loss.
