10/100/1000-TAP
The 10/100/1000 Ethernet Tap provides easy 24 x 7 access to your 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet network segments, making it an ideal portable network tap for troubleshooting Ethernet networks with multiple port speeds or for security monitoring applications, where you need non-intrusive, dedicated access to your network.
The 10/100/1000 Ethernet Tap provides a totally passive solution for networks with 10/100Mbps connections. Functioning in 10/100 mode, this network tap operates as a passive tap and will not lose a single bit of data between network devices in the rare case that power to both redundant power supplies is lost. The totally passive and non-directional front end eliminates the need for relay failover circuitry.
A convenient DIP switch on the back of the tap can be used to select auto-negotiation at 10/100 or fixed speed and duplex settings at 1000Mbps
At 1000Mbps speeds, the network tap uses a power fault relay which closes in the rare case that power to both redundant power supplies fails. This relay is only engaged at the 1000Mbps speed configuration.
The 10/100/1000 Tap’s fault tolerant design will help ensure that network performance and integrity will not be affected by power loss.
- Permanent In-Line access to 10/100/1000 Ethernet links- eliminates the need for network connectors to be disconnected and connected each time a segment needs to be analyzed or monitored
- Redundant power supply insures seamless monitoring even if the main power source is unavailable
- Ideal for Security and Monitoring applications or as a portable network tap for troubleshooting different areas of your network that operate multiple Ethernet port speeds
- View all seven layers of network traffic
- View all traffic on both sides of full duplex links
- Optional rack-mount package to mount 3 units (1U)
